Point of Sale

Point of Sale Setup:
NUTRIKIDS Point of Sale provides a wide range of configuration options designed to offer your district the flexibility it demands. Learn how to leverage these features to get the most out of your NUTRIKIDS Point of Sale program. We'll cover how to modify your meal prices, menu item prices, menu board layouts and other serving line options.

Free & Reduced:
Understanding how to properly manage your free & reduced information can be the key to a successful food service operation. Take a comprehensive look at free & reduced setup options, application processing, letter generation, and reporting details.

Verification:
Verification is often looked at as the culmination of your entire free & reduced program. Being able to obtain accurate data for submission to state and federal governments can sometimes be a daunting task. Fortunately the NUTRIKIDS Free & Reduced module has streamlined this process to make verification an unintimidating venture. Walk through the entire verification process with our program experts from beginning to end.

Take an in-depth look at all the reports NUTRIKIDS Point of Sale has to offer. We'll show you our top picks and help you get the report information you need.
 

Menu Planning

Adding Ingredients:
Includes an overview of the ingredient file, USDA CN Database, finding items by manufacturer, adding new ingredients and adding dry ingredient labels.
 
Adding Recipes:
This class provides a basic overview of the recipe creation process and lays the foundation for more advanced recipe-related tasks covered in Theme Bars & Variety Recipes. Learn how to create new recipes, duplicate recipes, size recipes, and even attach HACCP notes to recipe instructions.
 
Theme Bars & Variety Recipes:
Includes Theme Bar Recipes, Batch Quantities, Shortcut recipes and recipe sizing. Learn to search & replace recipes on menus and the Food Source List.
 
Menu Names & RDA's:
Learn to create Menu Names and RDA’s, enter a weekly menu, planned reimbursable meal and ala carte amounts and learn how to view & print the nutrient analysis.
 
Modifying Menus, Meeting Dietary Guidelines & Printing Reports:
This class takes a look at how the program aids you with modifying your menus and meeting dietary guidelines. We’ll also go through the available reports and Web Creator, for posting menus to your website.
 
Production Records:
We will cover setting up productions sites, printing records, fine-tuning the record to reflect the way items are purchased and starting a record from scratch.
 
 

Perpetual Inventory

Getting Started:
This class will cover setting up new inventory items (food and non-food), adding vendors and starting with your beginning inventory.
 
Transactions & Physical Inventory:
Learn how to receive and withdraw inventory, transfer items and make adjustments. We’ll show you how to print an inventory worksheet, enter the counts and post your physical inventory.
 
Purchasing:
This class will cover the differences between the Administrative and Manager’s programs. Included will be creating requisitions (orders), posting for Administrator approval, receiving the order on delivery day and making modifications to the order receipt.
 
Warehouse:
Includes an overview of the Warehouse add-on module including requisitions, receiving transfers at the school site, setting up recurring orders and searching for items that are on transfer.
 
Finished Product:
This class will cover instruction on making finished product, such as lasagna, sandwiches, etc., and transferring out to other sites. Withdrawals and entering a physical inventory are also included.
 
Bidding:
Learn to create and distribute a Bid Document, including defined bid periods, estimated quantities and pack sizes based on historical usage. We will also cover distributing your bid document electronically and auto-ranking.

Point of Sale

Serving Line
See the NUTRIKIDS Point of Sale (POS) serving line program in action.  We'll walk through common cashier scenarios to show you how NUTRIKIDS POS can accomodate your school meal program. Get your POS questions answer in this informative and friendly demonstration.

Manager Program
Get an up close look at the back office portion of NUTRIKIDS Point of Sale. We'll answer all your questions about the daily operation of the program and take a look at the most popular reporting options.
 

MP/PI Integration

MP/PI Integration allows NUTRIKIDS Menu Planning and NUTRIKIDS Perpetual Inventory to share information with each other. This means some of the information entered into Menu Planning does not have to be reentered into Perpetual Inventory and vice versa. This saves time, allowing you to work faster and smarter!
